Osmanthus fragrans China's important garden and economic tree species, with high ornamental and economic value, is widely cultivated in the Xianning region of our province, and it is also the main species of southern urban garden construction.
Because Osmanthus fragrans is rare and hard to obtain, and grafting is not ideal, it is often used for cutting propagation. Among them, the use of tender shoots for cutting seedlings has the advantages of convenient material acquisition, easy operation, and high survival rate.
1. Cutting time. It should be carried out from mid-May to mid-July and mid-September to mid-October. At this point, the shoot has stopped growing, and the branches contain more nutrients. The branching ability of the branches is strong, and at the same time, the temperature is suitable, and rooting is easy after cutting.
2. Slotting preparation. It is advisable to use the former as the light loamy cultivated land of rice as a nursery site. Deep cultivating the bed requires a bed width of 120 cm, a bed height of 25 cm and a ditch width of 40 cm. The soil should be finely crushed, the bed surface should be flat, and the channel should be clear. Cover the bed with a plastic film awning 50 centimeters high above the bed, and then cover it with a shed of 180 centimeters high from the bed and about 35% light transmission.
3. Cuttings collected. The excellent plant that grew vigorously, free of pests and diseases, was the mother tree of cuttings, and the current year-old semi-woody shoots at the upper part of the crown were cut to scion. The scion should be bundled into small pieces at the calibrating level, and the base bag should be brought back to the room with wet toilet paper.
4. Cutting treatment. The cuttings are cut 8-10 cm long, and 2 leaves with half cut off are kept; the upper end is cut into a flat mouth, the base is cut into bevels, bundled into small handles, and the base portion 3 cm below is immersed in 5105 naphthylacetic acid or 110 -1 ABT rooting powder solution No. 1 immersed for 1 hour, then remove the cuttings.
5. Cutting operation. The cuttings should be divided by diameter (segment). With a row spacing of 510 cm, first use a thick wooden pick, such as a cutting, on the insertion hole of the insertion bed, and insert the lower portion of the cutting 2/3 into the hole to press the soil around the cutting. Finally, a 0.01% carbendazim solution was sprayed through the bed for 1 time to disinfect the soil and provide moisture.
6. Plug in management.
- Water and moisture should be sprayed when the water-free beads and bed soil in the film are dry. The high-rise shade awning is covered with a cover in the morning; the relative humidity in the membrane shed should be kept above 85%, and the temperature should be controlled at 18-30°C. If the temperature is too high and the humidity is too low, it can be adjusted by removing the cover material and increasing the water spray. If the temperature is low and the humidity is too high, it can be controlled by closing the membrane and reducing the water spray.
- Spray water with spray and loose soil, spray 510-4 carbendazim solution once every 7 days to prevent the cuttings from infecting bacteria and causing cortex rot. Loosen the bed frequently to maintain good permeability of the soil and prevent the decay of the cutting roots due to lack of oxygen.
- Stubbles and fertilization must promptly eradicate the germination of the cutting base to reduce nutrient consumption. In combination with water spray, 0.2% urea or potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution was sprayed once every 10 days to promote root and shoot growth.
- The sheds can be removed in the summer of October when the sheds are transplanted and transplanted, and the Daejeon nursery can be transplanted in Hunchun. The awnings can be removed in the spring of the following year in the autumn and transplanted to the Daejeon nursery in the early summer. In the summer and autumn, they can stay in bed for 1 year. The following winter, the seedlings are as high as 30-50 cm, and they can be planted in gardens or planted in gardens.
